NYT article on homework

Another article that focuses on primary education, but gives some great advice on how you can help students retain the knowledge they've gained in your class. "Spaced repetition" is a particularly effective technique!

Spaced repetition sounds like something marketers have practiced for a long time, often referred to as the Rule of Seven: a prospective client needs seven exposures to your marketing campaign before the message “sticks” and the client considers buying your product. I'm sure lots of corollaries could be drawn between marketing and teaching.
